And then we found out you can actually cook DIM SIMS in the $29 Kmart appliance – another creative hack!
Well now comes news that you can now whip up mini POTATO BAKES in the gadget, in perfect portion sizes for your family!
Kmart Pie Maker Recipes, Tips and Ideas Australia follower Viki shared her clever dish with the group, revealing that she was inspired after seeing another pie maker recipe for cauliflower and cheese – ‘I seem to be making everything except pies!’She wrote: ‘Individual potato bakes with bacon, onion, garlic and cream with a little parmesan on top. Baked in muffin cases for easy removal.’Adding that she didn’t use a recipe, she shared the steps she used to create the tasty little bakes.‘Measurements are up to you depending on how many you want to make,’ she wrote. ‘Just thin slices of potatoes, chats fit well ( I used 5), pre-cooked in microwave for about 3 minutes. Fried bacon pieces with onion and garlic. ‘Layered in muffin cases with salt and pepper. Add cream until just to the top of mix, cook for about 7 minutes, add parmesan and cook a few more minutes until melted.’As simple as that – and how good do they sound?! And it seems fellow followers on the Facebook group loved the idea too!‘Love this!’ wrote one. Said another: ‘Oh my!
