In mid-May, Channel Nine revealed the line-up of contestants who will create out-of-this-world builds during the season, which is aptly called LEGO Masters Australia: Grand Masters of the Galaxy.

Ten teams will compete for $100,000, and according to the 9Network, it’s set to be “the greatest competition the galaxy has ever seen”.

When the new series was first announced, the network said it was going to be “the most inspiring season of LEGO Masters Australia yet.”

“Prepare to be dazzled by world-class builds as the contestants are served up the toughest and most dynamic challenges we can throw at them,” the network said in a statement at the time.

What can we expect from LEGO Masters Australia: Grand Masters of the Galaxy?

Teams will get creative and immerse themselves in the magic of Harry Potter, take part in a Cluedo-style mystery, build the worlds of monsters and ancient civilisations, and even attempt to make LEGO fly.

For the first time on the Australian show, teams will compete for the new MAGIC brick, which guarantees the winning team immunity from the next elimination challenge.
