A new season of LEGO Masters Australia is just around the corner, and there is a new twist in store for fans watching from home and contestants competing alike!
In mid-May, Channel Nine revealed the line-up of contestants who will create out-of-this-world builds during the season, which is aptly called LEGO Masters Australia: Grand Masters of the Galaxy.
Ten teams will compete for $100,000, and according to the 9Network, it’s set to be “the greatest competition the galaxy has ever seen”.
When the new series was first announced, the network said it was going to be “the most inspiring season of LEGO Masters Australia yet.”
“Prepare to be dazzled by world-class builds as the contestants are served up the toughest and most dynamic challenges we can throw at them,” the network said in a statement at the time.

What can we expect from LEGO Masters Australia: Grand Masters of the Galaxy?
Teams will get creative and immerse themselves in the magic of Harry Potter, take part in a Cluedo-style mystery, build the worlds of monsters and ancient civilisations, and even attempt to make LEGO fly.
For the first time on the Australian show, teams will compete for the new MAGIC brick, which guarantees the winning team immunity from the next elimination challenge.

USA team, Krystle and Michelle, won LEGO Masters Australia in 2024, in a gripping finale that saw them build an incredible, life-sized art studio. What’s more, the two friends became the first all-female team in the world to win a LEGO Masters competition.
Germany’s Felix and Annalena were the runners-up, with Dianne and Shane from Australia finishing in third place.
Where is LEGO Masters Australia filmed?
LEGO Masters Australia has been filmed in Sydney since 2022, when Hamish Blake relocated from Melbourne and requested a change in the filming location. Before that, it was filmed at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale.
The show is also produced for the 9 Network by Endemol Shine Australia, which has its head office in Sydney. So it makes sense that LEGO Masters Australia‘s 2025 season will also be in Sydney.
