Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin dies age 27

Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a freak accident on Sunday.

The 27-year-old, who was best known for his role as Pavel Chekov in two Star Trek movies, died after his car rolled backwards down his driveway, pinning him against a wall.

Jenny Houser, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said, ‘The car pinned him against a brick wall and a security fence and that trauma led to his death.’

When Yelchin didn’t show for rehearsals on Sunday, friends went to his California home where they found him dead.
