Jessica Marais has quit acting for the rest of the year to focus on her health and family.
A statement released by Marais’ management confirmed: “Jessica has decided to step away from acting for the remainder of 2018 to focus on her health and spend time with her family.
“She is disappointed that she will not be a part of the Bad Mothers production with such an incredible cast and team behind it, but knows that it is important to take time out to maintain ongoing balance and wellbeing.”
In making this decision, Marais has been forced to pull out of new Nine’s new drama Bad Mothers, which was due to start filming next month.
The 33-year-old skipped the Logie Awards this year despite being nominated for the gold.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the actress checked herself into a medical facility in June to focus on serious health issues.
Sending Jess love!
